DRIVER & BUTLER (D&B) attaches the highest importance to the protection of your personal data and your privacy. This policy is designed to inform you, in a transparent manner, about how we collect, use, and store your personal information, in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. The data controller is reachable at contact@driverandbutler.com for any inquiry regarding your personal files.

• Identity & Profile: Full legal name, title, and for professional Drivers, a copy of the professional licence and valid identification.
• Contact Information: Valid email address, mobile phone number for real-time coordination, and billing address.
• Transactional Data: History of bookings, routes taken, and payment metadata processed via Stripe. No full card numbers are stored on our servers.
• Geolocation: Real-time location of the Driver and Customer during the active duration of the trip only.
• Technical Logs: IP addresses, browser specifications, and device identifiers used to access our platforms.

• Contractual Necessity: To fulfil the booking agreement and ensure the chauffeur arrives at the correct location and time.
• Legal Obligation: To meet VTC regulations, mandatory accounting practices, and tax reporting requirements.
• Legitimate Interest: To prevent fraud, ensure security of partners and clients, and improve our service.
• Consent: For specific marketing communications such as our newsletter, withdrawable at any time.

Active accounts are maintained for the duration of the commercial relationship. If an account remains inactive for 24 months, all personal data is purged or anonymised. Financial and billing records are archived for a mandatory period of 10 years as required by French commercial law. Identity documents used for Driver verification are deleted immediately once the profile is validated.

• Chauffeurs & Butlers: Only the name and pick-up location required to execute the mission.
• Technical Partners: Stripe for payment processing, and our cloud hosting providers within the EU.
• Judicial Authorities: Only upon formal and legal request by authorised police or administrative services.

You hold comprehensive rights over your information: access to your personal files, rectification of any error, erasure (right to be forgotten), and portability to move your data to another service provider. To exercise any of these rights, send your request with proof of identity to contact@driverandbutler.com. Our team will respond within 30 days.

Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work (session, language, booking). Counting of clicks on the call, DiBi and booking buttons is only activated with your consent; no advertising tracker is used. When a chauffeur sets himself online in the application, his position is sent to our servers every 30 seconds and kept in his trip history. Purposes: assigning the nearest ride, letting the customer follow their ride in progress, and evidencing a journey in the event of a dispute. Recipients: the operator Driver & Butler, and the customer only during their own ride. Legal basis: performance of the service contract between us and the chauffeur. The chauffeur is informed before the first transmission and his acknowledgement is timestamped. He stops the collection at any time by going offline, with no other consequence. The history is purged automatically according to the retention period in force.

Emails sent to our booking inboxes are analysed automatically in order to extract the elements of a transport request (dates, addresses, number of passengers) and to prepare a quotation. This analysis is carried out by a third-party artificial-intelligence provider acting as a processor, to which the content of the message is transmitted. No decision is taken automatically: a quotation produced from this analysis is reviewed and approved by a person before it is sent. You may ask for your messages to be handled without this analysis by writing to our data protection officer.

Only cookies strictly necessary for the site to work are set without your agreement: the session, the chosen language and the memory of your booking in progress. Audience measurement (arrival channel, device identifier) is recorded only after the "Analytics & Performance" box has been ticked. Display conveniences (position of the assistance button, dismissal of the newsletter window) are recorded only after the "Personalisation" box has been ticked. Until you have chosen, nothing beyond the strictly necessary is written on your device.
